Traits
Neck Trait
Bare (Public)
Description:
The standard, default neck trait, lacking any notable excess fur.
Requirement:
- Cannot have significant amounts of fur or fluff coming off of the neck.
- Fur should be short enough to be unstylable

Hood (Public)
Description:
A growth of excess skin and flesh that creates a functional hood or cowl like that of a jacket. The skin is elastic enough to allow for comfortable movement and tough enough to resist tearing. The hood can have holes for the ears to fit through but this is not necessary. Some hoods can resemble faux-animal heads and can have growths that may resemble ears or paws.
Requirement:
- Must grow from the back of the neck.
- Can attach anywhere around the neck, but MUST attach at the back.
- Needs to be large enough to be pulled up over the head and function similarly to a hood when not mixed with other neck traits.
- Animal hoods are only mimicry, they cannot be detailed.
- Some hoods can resemble faux-animal heads and can have growths that may resemble simplified ears or paws.

Poncho (Public)
Description:
A feature of fur or skin growing from around the base of the neck that drapes over the shoulders and chest. The skin is elastic and durable. Whether the trait is skin or fur or both, it can often be seen sectioned into strands, strips, or segments.
Requirement:
- Should be long enough to be distinguishable from the surrounding hair length but not so long as to hinder or restrict the grem.
- Flesh must drape loosely enough around the shoulders/arms to allow for normal movement without being pulled taut.
- Must grow from around the neck.
- There is no musculature within the poncho when it is made of flesh. No flexing and lifting.
VISUAL WIP
Ridge (Public)
Description:
Allows for parallel ridges of skin or fur to grow from the front of the neck with some resemblance to the lapels of a coat. Typically the center of the neck is bare or has a distinct separation defining the two ridges.
Requirement:
- Typically grows forward from the sides of the neck.
- Non-mobile. Cannot flex or move independently.
VISUAL WIP
Royal (Public)
Description:
A dense mass of plush fur and/or flesh that encompasses the neck. It typically carries resemblance to a donut neck pillow.
Requirement:
- Must encompass the entire neck and retain its overall shape (even when wet, in the case of flesh-type royal).
- If flesh, cannot be so large that it hinders movement of the head.
- Royal can be shaped into a crescent

Scruff (Public)
Description:
The standard trait for necks with styleable fur. It can be trimmed in any-which-way and sport a variety of fur textures. Scruff is incredibly versatile! By default it covers the entire neck in long fur.
Requirement:
- Must cover the neck region in long fur.
