Subject 49, also known as Nimh, is a standard grem that was created to aid in the war against foreign enemies.

Subject 49 resides at a lab known as the Association of Experimental Weapons (A.E.W for short). A laboratory that is a government funded facility that used people and animals in unethical experiments to be used in wars overseas on the battlefield.

 After a handful of individuals came out and told the world of the atrocities that happened to them in the laboratory, the facility experienced multiple protests, vandals and raids from angry Human/Animal rights activists who were furious about the information these individuals revealed and as a result, two of the head scientists were "sentenced to prison" and the lab was fined. However, as the controversy died down the lab collaborated with Grem Corps to create a grem to be marketable, a way to regain the public's trust. The inspiration for this grem was simple "Nothing flashy but nothing to scare the kids" and with that, grem corps took their simplicity and applied it to a grem all due to a scientist looking at a laser radiation warning sign. 

 The A.E.W 's plan was to use this grem to be the "face of the lab" using the grem for Stickers, keychains, shirts, plushies and more. Subject 49 may look as if she's friendly but she's a very obedient and semi feral grem, not speaking a language but instead opting for huffs, growls, hisses and low rumbles to communicate. Subject 49's purpose is to be used with parties of troops to act as a tracking dog and an extra set of teeth and claws to ensure terrorists and war criminals are swiftly executed
