#4713: Nimh

Owned by Texarkana

Subject 49, better known as Nimh, is a creature born of desperation and public relations—a lethal weapon disguised as a mascot.

The Association of Experimental Weaponry (A.E.W.) was a clandestine government facility/laboratory, a place where people and animals were twisted into tools for war. When the truth finally spilled out, the world was horrified. Whistleblowers revealed a decade of atrocities, sparking a storm of protests and raids that forced the lab to shut down—at least temporarily. The A.E.W. was fined, two of its lead scientists were quietly "sentenced," and the public's fury began to wane.

Desperate to regain trust and funding, the lab collaborated with Grem Corps on a new project. The goal was to create a marketable Grem, an innocent face to wash away the bloodstained past. "Nothing flashy," they decided, "but nothing to scare the kids." A scientist, staring at a simple laser radiation sign, found the inspiration. That unassuming design became the prototype for Subject 49.

Nimh was built to be a brand, appearing on plush toys, t-shirts, and keychains. But the reality is far from friendly. Beneath the charming exterior is a cunning, semi-feral Grem that communicates with guttural growls and hisses. Trained for one purpose, she's deployed with military squads to track and terminate targets such as terrorists, smugglers and spies, a silent, deadly hunter with an extra set of teeth and claws for the battlefield.
