The name is Icelandic in origin, originally spelled Vindferð, but I don't have the last character on my keyboard and most don't, so I spelled it like that. The name meaning is "journey of the wind". Inspired by a song of the same name.

Vindferthe is a bright-hearted lil guy who lives a nomadic, nature-based life. He wanders the forests, and doesn't have a permanent home. Wherever he goes, he leaves a trail of new plant growth. He loves to plant things such as fruit trees and berry bushes in places he passes through, and tends to revisit them to see how they're doing. He is the embodiment of the phrase "drop seeds, not bombs."

He is a vegetarian, and consumes eggs very rarely. His favorite fruit is any kind of melon, especially uncommon varieties.
