Tricked or Treated

"Oh I love your costume!"

It took Bleeker a few moments to realize that the comment was directed at them. They blinked; they wore no costume?

"Here, it's all about bugs right? I've got just the thing! Treat for you!"

Before they could protest- or even really register what was occurring- Bleeker found an oddly bright, fake worm in their hand. They stared at it in confusion.

This wasn't a live creature. It was simply some sort of... gummy, fruity-smelling imposter. What in the world were they supposed to do with it?
